Ireland boss Giovanni Trapattoni has named his side for Ireland's opening World Cup Qualifier against Georgia on Saturday.

There's no major surprises in the side.

Stoke's Glenn Whelan starts in centre midfield alongside Stephen Reid while Stephen Hunt plays on the left wing in place of Robbie Keane.

Kevin Kilbane also plays at left back.

He'll wear a protective mask to look after his fractured cheek.
